PC-to-host connectivity on Intranet

Winsurf Mainframe Access launched on a Windows 3.11, 95 or NT workstation with either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator, offers you in a context of an intranet evolution, a performing range of emulators providing the right PC to Host connectivity in a multihost environment.

Advanced terminal emulations integrated into Internet browser
Winsurf mainframe Access allows you to access from Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator / Communicator, IBM, DEC, UNIX and Bull hosts. Winsurf Mainframe Access' performance and functionalities, tool bars, graphical keyboards, dynamic screen font, file transfers and the script language are equivalent to the most powerful Windows emulations.

Management of a mixed range of browsers
Due to the benefit of ActiveX
technology and Plug-in mode, Winsurf Mainframe Access opens itself to the two leading browsers on the market, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator / Communicator. The plug-in mode offers the ability to add to the corporate intranet projects, 16 bit workstations (Windows 3.11) using either Microsoft or Netscape products. Furthermore with

the support of Microsoft's ASP technology, Winsurf Mainframe Access allows the heterogeneous environments to support dynamic management of the technology inuse (ActiveX or Plug-in) depending on the mixed range of browsers and connected workstations.

Centralised and secure administration
Once installed on the Internet Information Server, Winsurf Mainframe Access allows the centralised and secure administration of user groups and communication services. Winsurf Mainframe Access relies on the Windows NT users rights management (SAM database), thus introducing the notion of communication services associated to users or user groups.

Simplified centralised software management Once installed on the Internet Information Server, Winsurf Mainframe Access makes any update immediately available for all its users. For example, a new account department user will automatically enjoy all the mainframe connection services available to his group.

Open communication architecture
Winsurf Mainframe Access may be integrated in any open communication architecture using telnet or the standard communication gateways from Microsoft, Novell, Eicon and SAGEM/SAT SNA.
